We’ve just released a new demo showcasing multi-axis servo control using a Raspberry Pi 5 (written in Python) and we’re excited to share it with you. In this video, we walk through a practical setup for controlling and monitoring multiple DMM servo drives over RS-232, using a threaded, non-blocking communication model for smooth, responsive performance. Watch the demo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XlFxQXcKghs Access the full source code: https://github.com/DMMTechnologyCorp/PythonGUI-With-Raspberry-Pi-5 What’s covered: • Multi-axis control over independent serial ports • Real-time feedback (position, speed, current) • Motion commands and parameter tuning • Optional Python-based GUI for control and diagnostics This project is ideal for prototyping, testing, and developing serial-based motion systems using DMM servo products. |
If you have any questions or would like support implementing this in your application, feel free to reach out. We’re happy to help! The DMM Technology Team |
